“CHIHANA” started more than 70 years ago as an itamae kappou restaurant. The founder, Motoo Nagata, has always been consistent throughout his life: “A little bit of good food, odd, not pedantic, but casual…”

In “Kyoto”, which is full of charm in every field, including history, tradition, culture, and creativity, we are simply grateful that we have been able to keep our store open for so many years and pass it on to the next generation.

This fall, we moved from Shinmonzen-dori Avenue, but we have returned to our original intention of serving dishes that are close to our hearts, which we have created while keeping a firm grasp on the flow of time. We hope to continue to provide you with dishes that are close to our hearts, created while keeping in mind the passing of time.
